New and Returning Music Families!
Welcome to the 2024-2025 Mountlake Terrace High School Music School Year! We are pumped for an exciting year in band and orchestra. Whether you are a new family to the school or music program, or returning for second or seventh year, we are excited you are here.
Whether you are new or returning to Mountlake Terrace High School Music Program, welcome to a fantastic community of parents, students, and alumni! For over 25 years, Mountlake Terrace High School music has been a nationally recognized music program! We are proud of our musicians, our tradition, and our directors!
To ensure we start the year off right, we want to share the different ways that the Music Boosters and Music Directors communicate with families. Please be sure you are connected with us in one or all these ways.
New to MTHS Music
We know what it’s like to be new to this music program. Here are a few tips to ensure you know what is happening:
- Take time to review the MTHS Music website. There is a lot of information to digest, but it provides a good overview of what the music program provides.
- Attend a Music Boosters monthly meeting!
Subscribe
The Music Boosters writes and distributes a comprehensive electronic newsletter monthly. All future, current, and alum parents, students, as well as interested community members can Subscribe to the Music Boosters newsletter.
Since you are reading this newsletter, we know you’ve subscribed. Share with a friend or family member. Be sure your child is signed up. We always welcome alumni to stay in touch.
Volunteer
The program thrives because parents volunteer their time, whether a few or dozens of hours. Actually, we don’t just thrive, events, trips, fundraisers just don’t exist without parent volunteers.
Volunteering in any capacity is also a wonderful way to connect with other families to build our community. Review the different opportunities to get involved!
Band App (Concert and Jazz Bands Only)
Parents! Download the Band App to your phone to stay current on the Concert and Jazz Bands information. Seriously! This is best way for Mr. Faul to communicate with parents/guardians (and studets) and for you to connect with Mr. Faul, other parents and Music Boosters. We can’t emphasize the importance of using this app enough. Yes, you can manage notifications so you are not overwhelmed at times.
After downloading, click here to access the MTHS Bands group. Mr. Faul will approve your access.
This app is also accessible through your laptop or desktop. Access the site here [requires Mr. Faul already providing you permissions].
Social Media
The Music Boosters manages Music Program and Music Boosters social accounts. Each social channel is used in different ways, so we encourage families to connect with us on all. Yes, we are very active on all our social channels.
