November Updates

Jazz and Justin – November 22-23rd

Hello Jazz families!

Justin DiCioccio is coming to do two days of clinics with our students. Justin has been a tremendous clinician and thoroughly helpful to our musicians in the past.

“Justin is truly magical to watch, his way of working with the kids is something you should see.” –Jazz parent

Volunteer Opportunity: Boosters typically provides a meal per-day for this clinic as the students are they for long periods. Please email jazz parent if you can help out!

On Friday, we are looking for someone to coordinate a pizza run.

Saturday we’ll organize a Taco/Burrito bar and need items. We have a list being assembled here: Justin DiCioccio Food Items

These food details are still being worked out in our Facebook group.

Santa breakfast – December 14th

This is the 18th year that MTHS Music Boosters have hosted a fun filled community event. This event invites students from music programs in the Edmonds School District and Mountlake Terrace High School to perform (performance times TBD), while people pose for pictures with Santa and enjoy a pancake breakfast. In addition we invite local vendors and student vendors for a very festive holiday event.

This event provides a time when all programs work together to support a community of music. The monies we raise from this event help fund the MTHS Music Boosters general funds.

Santa Breakfast planning is in full swing!

Parents – Can you flip a pancake? Set a table? Greet families? Print a picture? Lead musicians to the stage? How about laugh and talk with other parents?

Donating just 2-3 hours of your time is a great way to network, share, and give back to our collective MTHS music community.

Music students will be seeing a volunteer sign up sheet in their classrooms (early December) and we really need our parent volunteers too.

Volunteers are needed and you can easily sign up on our  signupgenius.com page.

Winter concerts

Jazz: December 12th, 7-9PM

Band: December 19th, 7-9PM

Orchestra + Choir: December 17th, 7-9PM

*NOTE* There is some confusion/contention about the apparent conflict on December 17th – it is being actively researched…
