Bands Perform World Premiere of “Battle of Hectuvera”

It was a wonderful evening of music last night at the Edmonds School District SE Quad Band Concert. The evening finished with the world premiere of Mathew Montgomery's piece, "Battle of the Hectuvera". Enjoy this premiere with our elementary, middle and high school bands performing together. "Battle of the Hectuvera" was commissioned specifically for the SE Quad Band program by Darin Faul with the support of the MTHS Music Boosters. The composer, Mathew Montgomery, attended Evergreen Elementary (now closed), Brier Terrace Middle School, and Mountlake Terrace High School (2002). As part of the Hot Java Cool Jazz Concert later this month, Starbucks is hosting jazz combos from all five participating schools at different locations.
