Choral music is not one of life’s frills. It’s something that goes to the very heart of our humanity, our sense of community, and our souls. You express, when you sing, your soul in song. And when you get together with a group of other singers, it becomes more than the sum of the parts. All of those people are pouring out their hearts and souls in perfect harmony, which is kind of an emblem for what we need in this world

As of September 2023, there are no choir classes available at Mountlake Terrace High School due to district budget cuts. But, Mountlake Terrace High School has a rich choral music program history. We look forward to bringing choir back to our music program in the near future.

History
Until a few years ago, the top jazz choir was called the Dynamics. The Dynamics won Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Idaho in 2007, the third win in a row for the choir. Mountlake Terrace had an all girls audition choir, Accents, as well as having a non-audition, all girls Chamber Choir.
